I ran the ski trips while I was there and always taught ski lessons to the new skiers. I also ran off campus activities, trips and transportation to athletic events. Other activities I delegated to other members of the Student Activities Committee. With my other activities I was well known so when a local group home for delinquent boys was looking for volunteers to work with the boys, I volunteered. I also had a commercial drivers license due to my construction work during the summers, so I arranged with a local school bus company to allow me to rent their busses for fraternity and student activities. Mostly I took the boys from the group home on different outings and participated with them. I didn't get real involved in the group home, but the outings were fun and the boys recieved me well.
